Our Patron Professor Denis Goldberg (born 1933) is a South African social campaigner, who was active in the struggle against apartheid and was imprisoned along with other key members of the anti-apartheid movement.

He has dedicated his life fighting for justice and upliftment of the less fortunate and oppressed.

In 1995 he founded the development organisation Community H.E.A.R.T.  to help to improve the living standards of black South Africans.

We are proud and honoured to have him as a resident of Hout Bay, where as a passionate arts lover, he has also over the years been an avid supporter of local arts.

Thank you Denis for honouring the Festival by being our patron!
